Think Thin

The obsession to be thin permeates through so many facets of every day living. There’s the minimalist style of interior design, which is very popular in Europe, and has lead to the creation sleek angular tables and corresponding chaise lounges. Women, of course, have been fascinated with the concept of being thin for years. A slim frame with modest curves has traditionally been considered more attractive. We see waif-like images on the runway, in magazines and on the screen.

And would you believe it, the Technology industry is not exempt from this “slim is in” phenomenon. It is hip to have the slimmest and sleekest computer or digital accessory. The cell phone wars are a prime example of our slim obsession with the advent of the Motorola Razr phone and the even slimmer phones to follow. Even a size reduction of one millimeter is enough to be newsworthy.

Is all of this thin stuff overrated? I think so, but in light of the trend, take a look at these adorable laptops by Intel, appropriately called Think Thin. Also new on the scene is the ever so slim Sony VAIO TZ Series notebook computer. It comes packed with sophisticated features and in a variety of cool colors. These days shopping for technology can be just as exciting as shopping for shoes!

Think thin…and stay connected!
